Effective October 23, 2026
1. Product and operator
MusicMall for iOS is operated by Wily, an independent app developer. MAXCOAPP is the website and product-family name used for MusicMall. MusicMall does not require a MusicMall account.
2. What MusicMall does
MusicMall is a vinyl-inspired music player and library for iPhone. Depending on the features you choose, it can browse and play eligible Apple Music catalog content, browse eligible music in the iPhone Music library, access media and lyrics selected from Files, store a local MusicMall collection, receive compatible files over the local network, and show limited playback information and controls in its Home Screen widget.
3. Summary of privacy practices
- The audited MusicMall Public build contains no advertising SDK, cross-app tracking SDK, or developer-operated analytics service.
- Local music, imported lyrics, collection data, and listening state are not automatically uploaded to a MusicMall-operated server.
- Apple Music features communicate with Apple services.
- Wi-Fi Transfer sends files directly from a browser on the same local network to the iPhone while the user enables the transfer server.
- Feedback or problem reports are sent only when the user reviews and sends an email through their email app.
The audited Privacy Manifest declares no tracking and no collected-data categories, and declares UserDefaults under Apple's required-reason API rules. The Privacy Manifest and App Store privacy questionnaire are separate disclosures and must remain accurate when the app changes.
4. Permissions and user choices
Apple Music and Media Library
MusicMall requests Apple Music or media-library authorization when you choose related features. Authorization and catalog playback eligibility are separate. Access can be denied or changed later in iOS Settings.
Files and folders
Apple's document picker gives MusicMall access only to files or folders you select. MusicMall may save a security-scoped bookmark so it can reopen that selection later. The bookmark is a local access reference, not an upload to the developer.
Local Network
MusicMall requests Local Network permission for Wi-Fi Transfer. The local transfer server remains off until you enable it and stops when you turn it off or leave the transfer screen.
5. Apple Music and Apple services
When authorized, MusicMall uses Apple frameworks and services to check authorization and playback eligibility; search the Apple Music catalog; retrieve artist, album, song, duration, identifier, and artwork information; browse eligible items in the personal iPhone Music library; and play eligible catalog or personal-library items.
Catalog playback normally requires an active Apple Music subscription, network access, and continued item availability. Eligible purchased or computer-synced personal-library media may be available without a catalog subscription, subject to Apple APIs, protection status, and device state.
MusicMall stores source-qualified Apple Music identifiers and relevant metadata locally so albums can participate in My Collection and the Side A/Side B experience. It does not receive or store your Apple Account password, Apple payment details, or raw Apple Music streaming files.
Apple processes Apple Music requests and service activity under its own terms and privacy practices. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. Local music, artwork, videos, and lyrics
MusicMall handles local content only when you select, open, or transfer it. Depending on the method, MusicMall either retains permission to the selected location or copies files into its private Documents area, including the MusicMall Transfers folder.
MusicMall can read compatible audio metadata, filenames, artwork, track order, artist folders, cover images, supported videos, and related local files. It can import user-selected .lrc and .txt lyrics, storing normalized local copies and matching metadata in Application Support.
The Public Release does not include Google Drive sign-in, Google OAuth, or Google Drive network access. Online LRCLIB or NetEase lyrics search is not available in the Public Release.
7. Collection and on-device storage
MusicMall stores app data locally, which can include album and track metadata, source identifiers, security-scoped bookmarks, Side A/Side B assignments, artwork and label references, album customizations, favorites, settings, lyrics-library records, local lyrics files, and external-audio selection references.
The main library and lyrics data are stored in the app's private Application Support container. Files received through Wi-Fi Transfer, File Sharing, AirDrop, or Open In may be stored in Documents. Small settings and state values use UserDefaults.
8. Widget and App Group
The app and widget share a local Apple App Group container. MusicMall writes a size-limited snapshot that may contain the current or last supported source, track title, artist, album title, vinyl side, playback state, and downsampled artwork or label image. The exchange stays local between the app and its bundled widget.
9. Wi-Fi Transfer
Wi-Fi Transfer runs a plain-HTTP server on the iPhone's local Wi-Fi interface only while you enable it. A browser on the same network must enter the temporary pairing code before it receives a temporary local session token and can upload files. Failed pairing attempts are limited, and each uploaded file is limited to 512 MB.
Pairing restricts upload access but does not encrypt the transfer. Files and pairing traffic use HTTP, not HTTPS, and may be observable by other parties on the same network. Use the feature only on a trusted private network, keep the pairing code private, and turn it off when finished.
10. External Audio
External Audio Settings lets you select a supported audio file or folder for the exterior or ambient experience. MusicMall stores a local security-scoped bookmark and the selected item's name. The selection is not uploaded to the developer.
11. Feedback and support email
Send Feedback and Report a Problem create a draft addressed to [email protected] in your email app. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it. The draft may contain information you enter, optional reproduction steps, an optional reply address, and optional technical details that are shown to you.
Email service providers process the message and may forward it to a mailbox managed by the independent developer. The private forwarding address is not published. Support messages are used to answer questions, investigate issues, and provide assistance. They are retained only while reasonably necessary for those purposes and applicable legal obligations, and are not used for advertising, tracking, or selling user data.
12. Data sharing and external services
The audited Public build does not sell personal data and does not use personal data for cross-app advertising or tracking. Information may be handled by Apple, email providers, the user's browser and local network during Wi-Fi Transfer, or external websites opened by the user. Those services have their own privacy practices.
13. Removal, deletion, and permission controls
- Removing an album from My Collection removes its MusicMall record; it does not delete the original file or folder selected in Files.
- Files copied into MusicMall's Documents area may require separate management through Files or File Sharing.
- Saved lyrics remain in local app storage until replaced, removed through available app or file controls, or app data is deleted.
- Apple Music, Media Library, and Local Network permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.
- Deleting MusicMall normally removes its local app and App Group containers, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior.
- Deleting the app removes app data as described above, but does not delete support emails already sent. Requests concerning a support email may be sent to [email protected] with enough information to identify the message.
14. Children's privacy
MusicMall is a general-audience music player and is not designed to solicit personal information from children. It does not include developer-operated accounts, advertising, or behavioral analytics in the audited build.
15. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when MusicMall's features, services, or legal obligations change. The published page will show an updated effective date.
